Alan Harding


Alan’s early career began as a dancer performing on the most popular television series and specials of the 70s and 80s. He also appeared in the West End production of Bubbling Brown Sugar.

As a choreographer and latterly as a director, his experience covers all aspects of the industry, from commercials and videos to trade, fashion, television, theatre and cruise ships. He has in the region of 30 theatre shows and 40 television series and specials to his credit, the most recent being Tonight at the London Palladium with Bradley Walsh for ITV. Over the years, Alan has worked with a wide variety of stars and celebrities on numerous Royal Variety Performances and galas. Theatre includes: Boogie Nights (UK tour); Spirit of the Dance (UK/US tour); Rhythm of the Night (Australia); Dancing Queen (Monte-Carlo); Red (Johannesburg); Simply Ballroom (UK tour, South Africa and Dubai); Le Grande Cirque and Arial Dreams (Sydney Opera House) and The Sounds of the Musicals (UK tour).

For Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag, Alan directed and choreographed Cheek to Cheek (London Coliseum); Steppin’ Out, Puttin’ on the Ritz, Let’s Do It and Anton and Erin Go to Hollywood (UK tour). Cruises include: for Celebrity Cruises: Simply Ballroom, Boogie Wonderland and Broadway (Millennium); Celebrate the World, Land of Make Believe and Hollywood (Constellation); Star Factory (Infinity) and Sirens and Stars in Their Eyes (Summit). For Cunard: One Way or Another and Hollywood Rocks (Queen Victoria); Hollywood Nights (Queen Elizabeth); Rhythm of the Night and Broadway Rocks (Queen Mary) and Sound of the Underground, Once Upon a Time, Gravity and I’ve Got the Music in Me (Brittania).

Alan is a recipient of the Carl Alan Award for Choreography.
